CincyHacks Jr. is the region’s first hackathon for intermediate and middle schools students. With help with high school student instructors from Mason Hack Club, attendees will learn to build their very own website, becoming familiar with basic computer science principles while competing for fun prizes. Everyone is welcome — no prior knowledge is needed!
Who: All students from fourth to eighth grade are welcome to attend. Competition will be divided by grade levels (Division 1: 4th-6th grade, Division 2: 7th-8th grade).
When: Saturday, April 6th, 2019 from 9:00AM to 5:30PM.
Where: Cengage Learning's Mason location - 5191 Natorp Blvd, Mason, OH 45040.
The event is completely free of cost, and all students will get snacks, a t-shirt, and pizza for lunch (students are encouraged to bring their own food to fit their dietary restrictions). Registration will be capped at 70 students and is based on first-come, first-serve. All questions can be directed to email@example.com.
The event is organized by Mason Hack Club, a coding club at Mason High School. On top of running a successful summer Hack Camp in 2017 & 2018, the club has hosted CincyHacks in 2017 & 2018 and is currently organizing Hack Cincinnati, the Midwest's largest high school hackathon.
CincyHacks Jr. is proudly sponsored by Cengage Learning.
